Provide general advice, support, and information as appropriate, such as:
• If the patient's visual fields are inadequate, advise them not to drive.
• Advise the patient about any likely reaction to drugs (such as drowsiness).
• Write to an employer if requested.
• Support an application, or an appeal, to the Benefits Agency (UK).
• Suggest that the patient contact a support organization that may be able to help with insurance or information for employers.
