A dose of 60.4 MBq (1.6 mCi) 99mTc-nanocolloid in a volume of 0.20 mL was injected into the primary breast cancer. The early images showed no drainage. Later, two radioactive nodes became visible, but lymphatic vessel visualization
was absent (Fig. 24). Because the order of drainage could not be determined, the nuclear medicine physician recommended excision of both nodes. The nodes were marked on the skin.
