Relationship satisfaction was recorded by using the Golombok Rust Inventory of Marital State (GRIMS). Sexual satisfaction was recorded by using the Golombok Rust Inventory of Sexual Satisfaction (GRISS) and the Pleasant/Unpleasant Feelings questionnaire.
Two target symptoms were also identified and assessed on a 12-point scale: Symptom A, "difficulty in attaining or maintaining an erection," and symptom B, "lack of enjoyment from our sexual relationship."
Global change in the couple's sexual and general relationship was rated by the investigator at the end of therapy. The patient's emotional sate was evaluated by the Hospital Anxiety Depression scale (HAD).
