Neuroblastoma In The Young Adult And Adults

• The distribution of primary neuroblastoma sites in this group of patients is similar to that seen in pediatric age group patients.

• The tumor growth rates of neuroblastoma in young adults and adults are slower than in pediatric age group patients.

• Neuroblastomas in this group of patients are relatively more resistant to chemotherapy than in pediatric age group patients.

• At present, the best treatment approach remains to be determined, but intensive chemotherapy with peripheral blood stem cell rescue, surgery, and radiation may be considered to improve prognosis.
